Wow, I have a new favorite movie!
It's called "Arizona Dream", starring Johnny Depp, Faye Dunaway, Lili Taylor and Jerry Lewis. I had seen this little gem in a video store many moons ago and had thought it looked interesting, but I never remembered to rent it back then. Then it figures, it basically disappeared from the face of the earth! But alas, I had some extra moolah and managed to find me a copy. I was rivited by this 'art house' movie when I watched it this afternoon! The concept was amazing, and the acting really was superb! The characters were very vivid, yet somehow it all seemed so simple at the same time. It's hard to explain! I love the metaphorical style of the movie. I'm not giving away the plot or anything, but let me tell ya, if you like off-beat, wacky, thought-provoking movies that make you go,"hey, someone else thinks like that, too!" -- you might wanna get your paws on a copy of this. I was entirely drawn in. Just let yourself go with it, and you'll find it making more sense than the blah-run-of-the-mill crap that Hollywood likes to pump out these days. It's a shame more people don't know about this movie!
And you know, it reminded me a little bit of a Tim Burton movie, in the 'visionary' way. Emir Kusturica (the director) did an amazing job, I thought. I was very impressed -- and it takes a LOT to impress me.
So to sum it up -- I loved it. I've heard some people complain that it was too 'weird' or 'abstract', but it made perfect sense to me.
But maybe that's because I tend to look at the world in an unconventional way. ;)

I'm just noticing how serious most of your posts are, and how most of my comments are complete and utter shite. With the exception of my mentions of my secret lovahhh. Joaquin Phoenix. You know, my SECRET lovahhh. (In other words, even he doesn't know about it...I just use some of that date rape drug, find him, have my way with him, and return him to duty like nothing happened. ha ha) I'm so tired....I'm talking complete rubbish. ha ha ha

So my comments are coming up in reverse order. You should realise that and read them bass-ackwards. Apparently I still have bits of my British accent. Bloggin' weird, huh? Well, I don't mind. I've been told it's bloggin' sexy. And that bloggin' cool with me. I can't put the accent on though. It comes out absolutely absurd. Usually the person I'm speaking to doesn't think so, but having lived there for so long, I know the difference. This guy tried to put one on at the doctor's office today and I told the nurse (I know her) that he was faking - sure enough, she later asked him and he was busted. ha ha ha I couldn't believe she called him on it though. I was cracking up. I'm having a bit of insomnia lately. I can't sleep. Like you don't know what insomnia is. ha ha ha

*looks at nails* Ok, so like, I totally don't get what it is. I want a blog though. Maybe I should blog. Why the blog don't I have a blog. Bloody blog. Why's it called blog? Does blog stand for something? I like the word blog. It rhymes with dog and hog and frog and sog and fog and talliwog and oh-my-gog. My mind's agog at the word blog. I'm in a strange mood- blog it, I don't care. Are you bloggin' online?

Wait, can't we just talk about my secret loooooovahhhh - Joaquin Phoenix - for a minute? Ok, dream secret loooovahhhh, but nonetheless, a secret looooovaaaaahhhhh. ha ha ha (Btw, I'm thinking of going vegetarian...not quite vegan, but damn, I can't even cook with meat anymore because it bothers me too much. And usually, I don't really eat it anyway, so maybe I wouldn't miss it all that much. Post some lovely goodies you eat. Maybe you will sway me.) Did I mention that my secret looooooovahhhhhh is on the PETA website? How cool is he? I think I'm getting a bit obsessed. ha ha ha I'll have to dump Liam. ;)
